Xiang Zhu Qing 2008 Lincang Raw Pu’er

$12.80$719.70

Xiang Zhu Qing is renowned in China for its ancient tea trees, and this particular tea comes from one estimated to be around 200 years old. Harvested in 2007 and compressed in 2008, this batch has been carefully stored in a dry environment for 15 years, allowing it to develop a truly exceptional character.

The taste profile is primarily fruity, with different notes detected by each individual—some even describe a mellow honey-like flavor. The cake itself is a rich brown-black with an appealing oily sheen. The tea broth brews to a vibrant golden yellow, clear and bright, with a thick, satisfying consistency. There’s a slight astringency in the first few infusions, which mellows beautifully with each steep.

This tea has become a favorite among our tea enthusiasts and collectors in China, and it’s easy to see why.
