Our Pu’er “Smoky Whiskey” (which contains NO whiskey or alcohol) is crafted from Yunnan’s large-leaf tea trees, aged 40-50 years, and grown in Wuliangshan.

Upon opening the tea cake, you’re greeted by a truly unique aroma—smoky, earthy, with a hint of pine—that evokes the experience of uncorking a bottle of whiskey. In terms of flavor, we believe this is one of the most distinctive Pu’er teas, featuring a smoky profile reminiscent of whiskey.

When brewed, the smoky aroma infuses the broth, creating an inviting experience. With your first sip, you may notice a touch of astringency and even a hint of spice. However, within five seconds, the astringency subsides, and your palate is treated to a delightful hui gan (sweet aftertaste) that emerges beautifully. A mild woody aroma lingers in your nose and mouth with every breath.

If we were to rate the hui gan, it would be a solid 10 out of 10! This tea is best enjoyed in the evenings after a long day or simply for relaxation, making it the perfect choice for winding down.
