Bitter Bite 2021 Laomane Raw Pu’er

BITTERNESS! Harvested from Laomane, Xishuangbanna, famously known for its bitter teas. To describe the taste of this tea, one would have to look at the name “Bitter Bite” as you will feel the bitterness with each sip. Out of the bitter teas coming from Laomane, the villagers categorize their tea into bitter or sweet, and this Bitter Bite is considered BITTER!

The first few infusions have an instant reaction, even reaching your head. Some rub their heads to deal with the bitterness. Later infusions start with the same bitterness, melting in the mouth and adding layers of smoothness and slight sweetness.

We enjoy this tea with friends during the summertime. For those who love very strong-tasting tea, this is the right choice, gratifying and refreshing. If you are new to drinking Chinese tea and don’t like a strong taste, we suggest you work your way into this one with other milder teas such as our Honey Water.
